This question comes up so frequently for anyone who's been around Bitcoin long enough, which I have, that I feel like I'm in the movie Groundhog Day. The interesting thing is that every time, I answer the same thing.

The first thing I'm going to tell you is that it all depends on you and your understanding of why Bitcoin.

If you're one of those people who think that Bitcoin is just another asset with high potential returns, then you're very likely to sell and then try to buy back at a lower price.

But experience has shown me that those who try to follow this path always end up giving in to Sh*tcoins and ending up with less BTC in the end. I talk about this in more detail here:

You're free to do this if you think it's the best solution for you. In my opinion, it isn't, but everyone has to make their own decisions because that's what the Bitcoin revolution is all about: Don't Trust, Verify!

The situation is clear to me: Bitcoin is much more than just another financial investment. Bitcoin is a monetary revolution that aims to give you back the power over your money, and ultimately over your life. Fix the money, fix the world, as I like to say!

Bitcoin achieves this feat by protecting you from monetary inflation and the censorship of the powerful at the head of the current system. With CBDCs likely to appear worldwide in the years to come, Bitcoin will be your lifeline, enabling you to continue making your own decisions with the fruits of your labor.

Once you understand this, you will no longer wonder whether you should sell your Bitcoin.

You'll realize that all the Bitcoin you've accumulated is money put outside the current system, and therefore safe. Instead, you'll be looking for the only way forward with Bitcoin: Spend and Replace your Bitcoin.

Spend your Bitcoin, but do so within the Bitcoin ecosystem to encourage the development of a circular economy based on the Bitcoin system. This is the way forward if Bitcoin is to reach its full potential in the future.
